We have just shipped an updated Steam Deck Client to the Preview/Beta channel.
Steam Input
Promoted the newer gyro modes from beta to the default gyro modes loaded. Older configuration that are using the older modes will still see the option and you can also enable Steam Input dev mode under Settings->Developer to keep them visible all the time.

General
The Steam client is now 64-bit on Windows 11 and Windows 10 64-bit.
Systems running 32-bit versions of Windows will continue receiving updates to the 32-bit Steam client until January 1, 2026.
Game Recording
Fixed errors copying to clipboard or exporting H265 videos on systems with a NVIDIA 50xx series gpu.

Fixed regression detecting controller hotplug in Unity games
Added support for Nintendo Switch 2 controllers connected over USB on Windows
Added support for GameCube adapters in Wii-U mode with rumble on Windows

Fixed a regression with Game Recording where the video feed would stop partway through the clip.
This release includes a variety of bug fixes and quality of life improvements for SteamVR.

SteamVR:
Improve startup speed when no HMD is present.
Fix an issue that could cause "Port 27062 in use" (can also manifest as error 309) when no HMD is present.
Fix an issue that could result in error 302 or error 101, especially in unusual startup configurations.
Changed Binding UI to allow saving bindings that don't bind all required actions (with confirmation).
Fixed an issue where HMD simulation would persist after an app using controller simulation ended.
Fixed some scenarios where the wrong render model would be displayed when multiple devices were simulating.
Fix a crash that could occur if the roomview processing was delayed.
Updated dashboard binding for HP Motion Controller to fix screenshots, smooth scrolling, and take advantage of Quick Recenter.
The prompt to setup SteamVR for app containers and web applications now covers cases where SteamVR is installed outside of its normal location.
Fixed chaperone showing when using Steam Link or wired headsets that draw their own boundaries.
Steam Link:
Fix Steam Link freeze for users with AMD video cards ("Error 250").
Minor judder improvements.
Linux:
Fix a shared memory leak that happened each time an app disconnected from SteamVR.

Display-Off Low Power Downloads
Added a new feature, allowing Steam Deck to complete all active downloads in a new display-off low-power mode before going to sleep.
This feature is enabled by default when Steam Deck is plugged in to power, and can also be enabled on battery power in Settings > Power.

OpenXR:
Support XR_KHR_locate_spaces.
Fixed a bug where apps that didnβt submit projection layers would see a 100ms wait on alternating frames with some drivers.
When a requested time querying xrLocateSpace is outside of reasonable bounds, return XR_SUCCESS with an empty pose, instead of returning XR_ERROR_TIME_INVALID.
Support XR_META_recommended_layer_resolution.
Register SteamVR as an available runtime in the Windows Registry when SteamVR is defaulted to the active runtime.
Developer:
